Frequently Asked Questions

Auto-disappearing one-time notes are designed to ensure maximum privacy and security for sensitive information. When a user creates a note, it generates a unique, encrypted link that acts as the key to access the note. Once the note is accessed through the link, it is automatically deleted from the system, ensuring it cannot be retrieved again. If the note is not accessed within a specific time frame, such as 30 days, it expires and is permanently removed. This mechanism ensures that the content remains secure and is only accessible by the intended recipient.
To send a note using any communication channel, simply copy the unique encrypted link generated after creating the note. This link serves as the only way to access the note, so it's essential to share it securely. You can send the link through your preferred communication method, such as email, SMS, instant messaging, or social media platforms. Keep in mind that the security of the note depends on the privacy of the channel you choose—ensure that unauthorized individuals cannot intercept the link during transmission. Once the recipient clicks the link to view the note, it will automatically disappear, ensuring confidentiality.
If you need to delete a note before the recipient reads it, you can do so by accessing the note yourself. Open the unique link in your browser, which will immediately retrieve and display the note. Since 1xNote is designed to delete the note automatically upon access, opening the link yourself ensures the note is removed from the system and cannot be viewed by anyone else. This feature provides an additional layer of control, allowing you to invalidate the note at any time before it is read by the intended recipient.
Unread notes are securely stored on the servers for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted to ensure privacy.
